Create your own water view with this simple reverse ombre technique. The gentle shift from dark blue to light blue will make you feel as relaxed as hanging out on a pier, dipping your toes into the river.

You will need:
Level and Pencil
1 quart PETAL .05 Eggshell
1 quart WATER .04 Eggshell
Painter’s tape
1 large paint brush
2 paint roller
Drop cloth
Define the space for your view by using the level to draw your perfect window to the water. Outline with blue painter’s tape and seal the edges like a pro!

Fill in the top 2/3 of the square with PETAL .05 and the lower 1/3 with WATER .04, leaving about a 1″ gap between each.

Using a large bristle brush, dip each side in the different colors. Use this brush to fill in the gap between the colors and gently blend the two hues together.

Longer brushstrokes works better to blend the colors together. Think gentle, rolling waves……

Fee free to add more paint and blend until you achieve subtle ombre softness.

Ahhhhh……sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.
